Institute Program Objective:
LEAD. LOVE. SAVE. SERVE.
The purpose of the Institute is to train youth to meet the challenges in their communities. It enables young people who aspire to lead learn skills common to effective leaders. Leadership participants will learn to assess their strengths and weaknesses, review models of leadership, develop strategic plans, collect and analyze data, set goals, communicate effectively to build networks, examine legislation and public policy, and then apply these skills to create successful lives for themselves and/or impact community change.
All workshops, panel discussions, speakers and activities are designed with the Institute motto in mind: “You can’t lead the people if you don’t love the people. You can’t save the people if you won’t serve the people.”
Here is a sample Leadership Institute schedule. The final schedule will be posted in a few weeks.

Chaperone and Dorm Monitors Guidelines & Application
If you are an adult at least 23 years of age who enjoys spending time with young people, we invite you to apply to join our team as a chaperone. THIS IS NOT VACATION HOWEVER. It will be fun but it’s not vacation. Please read the guidelines carefully before applying. If you don’t like loud noise and have to be in bed by 8 pm – do not apply. Also, the Institute is youth-led, adult-supported. Adults take a back seat support role to our National Youth Advisory Council.
